Sapa is a former French hill station situated in the valleys near the Chinese border. Its high elevation of 1,600 meters creates its cool climate. This inspired the French to build villas there as a summer retreat. Today, Sapa  attracts visitors for its stunning scenery, comfortable climate, colorful markets, and a variety of ethnic hill tribes living in nearby villages. This is the perfect itinerary for those seeking a retreat but wishing to stay in the luxury of a hotel in Sapa Town rather than  home stay. 

 

Night 1: 20h00  You will get pickup from your hotel andour trip starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai province. The accommodation for tonight will be in soft sleeper berths on express train.

 

Day 01:Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van     ( B, L, D )

Arrive in Lao Cai station at 5:00 in the morning . You are welcomed by driver, then transfer by bus to Sapa. The bus ride uphill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You will have breakfast at hotel before we start12 km of trekking to visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority.The trekking route offers some challenges as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. The vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside. Head downhill and relax by a local stream for a picnic lunch.After lunch, we continue trekking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we have a unique home stay experience.     

                                                                                                                  

Day 02:Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa    ( B, L, D)

After breakfast, we start the day with an easy trek of 10 km to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao, the H’mong (Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan). The trekking will take you along local paths, up and down rice terraces and into the villages and home of local hill tribes. Enjoy a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge with picturesque landscapes… through bamboo forest on the way to the main road to get the jeep to return to Sapa.

6pm A bus transfer to Lao Cai train station for night train back to Hanoi.

 

Day 3: 5h00arrive in Tran Quy Cap station, Hanoi. Tour ends.

SA PA (Easy trekking)

Sapa is a delightful French hill station built in the early years of the century and one of the most beautiful tourist attractions  in Vietnam. High in the mountains of northwestern Vietnam, Sapa offers great trekking and a kaleidoscope of ethnic groups. This trip provides you a glimpse of local hill tribes and opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sapa.

 

Night 1:  You will get picked up at your hotel and then transfer to Hanoi Railway station for your night train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai.

 

Day 1: SaPa- Cat Cat - Sin Chai    (B, L, D)

Arrive in Laocai station at around 6am, you are picked up by our driver and then transfer by bus to Sapa. The bus ride uphill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You will have breakfast at hotel before we start the trip to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H'Mong tribe. We relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam,  then next 6 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before trekking back to Sapa town. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the town on your own. Dinner and overnight at hotel.  

 

Day 2: SaPa - Lao Chai - Ta Van – Lao Cai - Hanoi   (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you'll check out and leave your luggage in the hotel and trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes, keep going along the bottom of Muong Hoa valley to visit Ta Van village where is home to the Dzay minority. This is the most beautiful ethnic village in the area. We  have lunch in Dzay family.

In the afternoon, we  transfer back to Sapa by motorbike/Jeep, get fresh with a shower in the hotel then head to Lao Cai station for night train back  to Hanoi.

5am you arrive in Hanoi and tour ends.

 

Note: You can stay in Sapa longer if you want.
